Today I found the following video presentation with a clear and concise message about what Bahá’í Direct Teaching is and what it isn’t. Like the title says, it’s really plain and simple.
Here’s a screen shot of what might be for some a little surprising at first. The site does a good job, I think, of explaining why Los Angelenos might face the Hollywood hills to the north even though Israel appears to be a straight shot East.
This video was created by the Bahá’ís of Hungary to express their solidarity for their bretheren in Iran the cradle of the Bahá’í faith where persecution and descrimination are, sadly, an inescapable reality.
The center of their faith lies in Israel. It is a twist of fate orchestrated by the Persian authorities and the Ottoman empire in the mid-1800′s that has now become the basis for a case of espionage against 7 men and women arrested more than 8 months ago.
…So tonight, we are here to celebrate the hope that we have for that future. To celebrate the New Day which is upon us, and to celebrate the fact that like the sun’s equal radiance on the earth today, we are all equal partners in achieving that future….
